Quickfix #1 – Dream Sequence & Mouse Input Fixes

Fixes

Fixed a missing collision in one of the dream sequences that allowed players to clip through a wall.
Addressed an issue where controller input could interfere with mouse dragging and make certain interactions difficult or impossible to use. The game should now prioritize mouse and keyboard input whenever they are being used, even if Steam Input or a virtual controller device is detected.

To be honest this is my first time implementing controller support, so I am still working through some unusual device and input configurations. The mouse dragging issue should now be resolved, but please let me know if you continue to experience it.

idk if its just me but my mouse keeps drifting down when i load up the game ive restarted my computer and it still keeps drifting down any way to fix it or is it just a bug?

Today's the day, my debut Steam project as a solo developer is finally available on Steam. Thank you to everyone who previously played the demo, wishlisted the game and showed support over the last few months.

The full release of Photomaly expands significantly on the demo and sees the story unfold over additional in-game days, new mechanics introduced and plenty of surprises...

After the developer's answer im changing my review, I've had a problem with one part of the game that requires a microphone, if you have it too check the answer

I love the game, the vibe is always unsettling giving you suspense, the gameplay loop is simple but good, the encounters are a mix of scary and funny. I've loved the Easter eggs and the secret level.

I am a sucker for "cosy horror" and especially ones styled in a PS1-Esque style, this is no exception. A very fun, creepy and intriguing game with great scares and some real funny (yet unnerving!) moments that fit into the paranormal aspect. The playstyle loop is easy to learn and the camera system is fun.

I should mention that one section of the game did pull me out and made me feel a little less immersed, especially for the length (Not stating which part for spoilers sake) and I wonder if it would have been better without or by making the section shorter.

However; considering this is apparently the dev's first solo developer game, they're starting out with a fantastic first impression. Definitely one to watch out for!

Blending a mundane job-simulator loop with psychological horror creates a fresh concept. Balancing daily studio tasks: taking portraits, developing film, and managing supply stock on the PC, feels surprisingly engaging, making the sudden paranormal anomalies and encounters hit even harder. The retro PSX aesthetic fits the creepy, tense atmosphere perfectly, delivering plenty of genuine scares throughout the shifts. While the story wraps up fairly fast, the low price tag makes it feel completely worth it. It is a brilliant indie horror experience that executes its unique premise remarkably well.
