First of all - thank you to everyone who played the demo, added the game to their wishlist, followed the project, or simply stopped by to check it out during Steam Next Fest. Every bit of support means a lot.

What truly surprised me were the length of some of your play sessions. I expected most people to jump in for a few minutes just to see if the game matches their expectations. Instead, many of you played for over an hour… two hours… and some even reached four hours.

Honestly, neither the game nor I were prepared for that.

And I mean that seriously. The current demo really only shows the potential and direction the game is heading in. There are still many mechanics, improvements and balance changes ahead. Because of that, I assumed most players would treat the demo as a short test run.

Seeing so many of you spend so much time in it was an incredible surprise and also a great sign. It shows that there is already a group of players who truly enjoy what the game is trying to become. And if you were able to spend that much time in the demo, then I can only imagine how many hours you'll put into the full version.

Another piece of good news: during over 1500 play sessions recorded during Steam Next Fest, there wasn’t a single crash. Stability and optimization are something I put a lot of effort into, because after release I want you to enjoy the game - not spend your time reporting bugs and crashes.

I would also like to give a special thanks to everyone who shared feedback in the Steam Community Hub. Your opinions are extremely valuable. Everything has been carefully read and taken into consideration, and I did my best to reply to everyone as well.

You are already shaping the direction of the game, and I’m very grateful for that. You’re an amazing community and I’m really counting on you during the next stages of development.

For now, the Steam Community Hub works well as a place for discussion and feedback, but as release gets closer, I might consider opening a Discord server as well.

Finally, I want to let you know that development of the demo version has officially concluded. From now on, all efforts are focused on the full version of the game. The demo will not receive further updates, but it will remain available on Steam for a few more weeks for those who didn’t have a chance to try it during this crazy week.

I’m happy to share that Ranchbound’s demo will be part of Steam Next Fest (February Edition), running from Feb 23 to Mar 2.
The demo will stay available until the end of the festival, so you’ll have the whole event to jump in and try it.
