In our case, the new network changes made gameplay significantly worse. We are all living in the States and regardless of who hosts the non-hosts rubber band all over the place. Net speeds are around 250 down and 20 up around the board.

gornyakmaniac: Sorry that the new network architecture made things worse for your specific case, as it seems that the scenarios you are describing would exhibit high latency. It does get me thinking about the possibility of hybrid architectures that would incorporate the best of both worlds; no promises, but it is interesting to me.

One of my friends introduced me to Space Beast Terror Fright.

This is the only great game where I feel like a true Space Marine. Keep it coming with the updates!

Previous netcode didn't restrict people by region, now it has barbed wire fences on "100ms ping" line

Yeah, In case that game have high online or in case you live in the world of dreams you can say things like that. But real situation is that you don't have much choice if you want to play SBTF multiplayer, because often there are zero online or only one man playing. Even after update online is lower than 10 players. So yeah, "exploiters" like you might be ignored, i think. For me previous netcode was the thing why I didn't make refund because of dead online - it worked nice even if I, living in Russia, play with canadian or so.

Now I just can't play multiplayer. People still write negative reviews and make refund of SBTF because of dead multilplayer, and you say that bells and whistles are more important than game core, lol.

the changes you made to the network side are very good. These changes are good for gameplay. It will benefit the big majority of the player base.

Don't worry about exploiters is my advice, because these network changes are sensible and should be in every multiplayer game (dropin/dropout, reinforcements, game continuity after people disconect...). If it benefits the majority and it improves the quality of time spent while playing, the minority exploiters shouldn't be considered.

This new netcode ♥♥♥♥ed up the game for me. Before I could nicely play with guys in usa living in russia, now I get this rubberbanding effect every second, which makes game unplayable, with unavalibility just to see ping from me to host BEFORE joining
