New & Updated:

• Cleaning

  • Cleaning now takes time based on how dirty a surface is. We also added a progress ring on the crosshair to show you how far along you are, and a checkmark appears when it's clean!

• Bowl ratings

  • The customers are now a bit more fair when grading your cooking, and can leave a comment indivual ingredients in reviews. Also, when you're holding or looking at a bowl with ramen, you'll see the score of the bowl 🍜

• Notebook redesign (WIP)

  • We've added filters, categories and sorting, a "New" tag on unlocked recipes, a Shelves page and lots of new icons.

• Shops

  • Each shop has its own clerk who smiles when you walk in. The Hardware Store now sells workbenches and bowls, and bowls are available in more shops.

• Gacha

  • More items can be won! Capsule colors now match gacha coin rarity.

• Decorations (WIP)

  • Almost everything in your shop can now be moved!

• Quality of life

  • You get a confirmation before throwing away an ingredient stack or overwriting a save. Delivery boxes show freshness when you hover over them, and while you're holding something you can only target things it can interact with.

• Art updates

  • The vending machine now looks the part! The Old Shop got an art pass, and there's lots more visual effects and animations!

Bugs:

• Fixed crashes on New Game, including on PCs where Windows doesn't provide a save folder.

• Fixed saving for appliances that use canisters, the gacha freezing when everything is unlocked, errors from the beer tap and cooking, and timer anchors on noodle boilers.

• Fixed outlines, noren animations, the scale of held items, collisions, delivery box stacking and the main menu on 16:10 screens.

• Improved performance, especially the volumetric clouds, and updated lighting.

• Added and fixed many translations.

Thank you (again) to everyone who gave us feedback and comments. It means the world to us 🫶🍜

//Daniel, Johan & Petrus

Welcome friends to version 0.5.6. This is the last major update we’ll do for the demo, and the demo all our other ramen friends can try on both the Steam Cooking Fest & Next Fest the coming weeks!

From now until Early Access goes live we’ll only do minor bug fixes. But, if you want more content, features and, of course, ramen 🍜, hold out until November 3rd!

These are the changes we could remember to write down. There are tonnes more bug fixes, content and features, as well as a much bigger alley to explore, and there’s more of everything still to come!

Thank you so much to everyone who’s reported bugs, given us feedback and/or left a positive review ❤️

🍜 Don’t forget to wishlist & tell your ramen-loving friends about us! We read every comment & every review, and all three of us get a bit happier every time we get a new wishlist or demo download. Thank you again, and we hope y’all keep joining us on our ramen journey! 🍜
