What time does Crimson Desert launch? Can I pre-load the game?

Crimson Desert launches simultaneously worldwide across all platforms on March 19, 15:00 PT / March 19, 22:00 GMT / March 20, 7:00 KST.

Pre-load for Crimson Desert will open March 17, 15:00 PT / March 17, 22:00 GMT / March 18, 7:00 KST for PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Microsoft Store and Steam.

Crimson Desert is currently available on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam (PC & Mac), Epic Games Store, Mac App Store, and GeForce NOW.

What are Crimson Desert’s PC, console, and Mac performance specifications and system requirements?

Does Crimson Desert support performance-enhancing technologies?

For upscaling and image reconstruction techniques, Crimson Desert supports FSR 3/4 and DLSS 4/4.5 on PC, Upgraded PSSR for PS5 Pro, and FSR 3 for the PS5 base model and Xbox Series X|S.

It also features support for AMD FSR Ray Regeneration and NVIDIA DLSS Ray Reconstruction on PC Version.

Please note that frame generation (FSR, DLSS and MetalFX) is only supported on PC/Mac.

Additionally, Crimson Desert supports MetalFX Upscaler, Frame Generation, and Denoiser on Mac.

Does Crimson Desert require an internet connection to play?

Players will need an internet connection to complete the initial setup (day 1 patch) and ensure they have the latest version of the game.

Once installation is complete, the game can be enjoyed offline.

We’re also committed to continually improving performance and enhancing the overall experience through future updates and patches. An internet connection will be required to download these updates beyond the initial setup.

Does Crimson Desert support cross-save between different platforms?

No, cross-save is not available for Crimson Desert.

What controllers are supported on the PC version?

Crimson Desert features support for Xbox controllers and the DualSense controller (USB only).

What languages is Crimson Desert available in?

The game interface and subtitles are supported in 14 languages:

English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish (Latin America), Traditional Chinese, Portuguese (Brazil) and Turkish.

Full voiceover is available in English, Korean, and Simplified Chinese.

Please note that physical editions purchased outside of the Asia region do not support Traditional or Simplified Chinese.

Digital versions support all languages regardless of the purchase region.

GAME EDITIONS AND BONUS ITEMS

What are the Crimson Desert editions?

I purchased the Standard Edition. Can I upgrade to Deluxe or Collector’s Edition?

There is no dedicated upgrade option.

However, if you wish to obtain the bonus items included in the Deluxe Edition, the Deluxe Pack (which includes the Balgran Shield, Kairos Plate Set, and Exclaire Horse Tack Set) will be available for separate purchase after Crimson Desert launches on March 19th.

It will only be available to players who already own the full game.

The Ultimate Pack included in the Collector’s Edition is not available for separate purchase.

Are there any differences between the digital and physical versions of the game?

There is no difference in in-game content between the digital and physical retail versions.

However, physical goods and extras, such as SteelBooks, photo cards, etc., are only available with a physical edition purchase.

Why defend this type of practice? Whether it affects performance or not, it's still anti-consumer, perhaps? It was a mistake not to give a week's notice; why was it only implemented now?

Devs, this was the absolute waste of your money, this game will be cracked via HV day one. Denuvo won't help you and you will lost buyers. Good luck

oh no, you will lose 2fps... anyways

It baffles me how entitled people (mostly pirates) are to have a game unrestricted and unprotected when these devs spent 8 years of their time to masterfully make a sandbox like this on a NEW engine. What's even funnier is most people are crying while parroting stupid ♥♥♥♥ like its gonna brick their experience. Modern day Denuvo makes you lose 5% FPS in worst case. Denuvo made a 2% difference in fps on borderlands 3. It made a 0.5% difference on Hitman. This game has 10fps headroom on performance...

Pirates (I mean paying customers) were happy no DRM was listed. They were happy about performance benchmarks. They now learn that the DRM was added to the steam page. They all freak out claiming the good performance numbers were due to no DRM and that the bad performance are hidden from them. They all claim to refund.
