Just a quick post for the minor patch this weekend with some balance and bug fixes, thanks to the community for reporting and for all teh wonderful feedback as always!  

Demo v0.12.7 Patch Notes

• Changed the position of the tentacles spawned when casting the Wall of Tentacles spell 

• These same tentacles are now removed after being hit twice

• Increased Cult of Blood Boss hit box size

• Reworked Boss Spells so that spells don't repeat until all other available spells have been cast

• Fixed a bug when first opening the shop where the tutorial panel would not colse when playing with a controller/Steam Deck

• Fixed a bug where a ball could get stuck in the wall on low frame rates

• Fixed a bug where Blocker Health bar would not refill when first respawned 

• Performance optimisations

Hi all,

It’s been a hectic few weeks but I'm fairly confident that as of now, Cult of PiN is effectively feature complete! For the next couple of month up until launch it should just now be a constant loop of polishing, bug fixing and balancing. All the Boss Spells, Ball Rituals and Bonus Tables for the remaining boards are now done and in, however there's still a lot of visual and haptic feedback work to go into these so definitely not quite there yet.

I’ve also been spending a lot of time doing a comprehensive balance pass - basically asking myself why I am always picking the Glyphs/Blessings/Rituals that I do and not the others, then adjusting accordingly. The aim is that every build should feel like a viable, exciting option based on the core passive abilities of the starting ball selected, and I’m really excited to see what kind of builds other people come up with from the full list of upgrades, but I'm also trying not to think about the launch too much or I just start to panic :)

Additionally, as always there has been some exceptionally helpful feedback from the Discord[discord.com] channel, with a load of suggestions and bug reports and I've done my best to integrate as much as I can into this build. A Global Cult

It is with a bit of trepidation I can also anounce that as of v0.12.0, Cult of PiN is (hopefully) ready for a much wider audience. I’ve implemented support for 27 different language (see below for the full list), however with pinball terminology, questionably named Glyphs and no real ability to verify these results myself, I am convinced there will be many issues with this first pass - please let me know if you find something that sounds/reads completely wrong and I'll update it ASAP. This was a massive technical task chalked off the list, and seeing the game translated across so many cultures is absolutely mental and all starting to feel very real. I'd like to thank the many, truly wonderful multi-lingual friends and family that I have been persitently annoying on this for the last few months! 

Anyway, on with the patch notes!

Cult of PiN v0.12.0 Patch Notes:

• Instead of being flat-out immune, bosses are now highly resistant to damage while casting spells.

• New Boss Spells: Added a raft of new boss spells, including gravity changes, lane blocking tentacles and screen blackout effects.

• Telegraphing: Boss spell icons will now appear 3 seconds before casting, giving you a bit of a heads up as to what is coming next

• Rebalanced 'Score per damage' Glyphs : +1 damage per 40k points (was 10k), and +1 damage multiplier per 100k points (was 50k).

• +1 mana per mission  Glyph is now Rare (was Uncommon).

• Bumper HP rebalanced across the board from Act III and up.

• Bonus table blocker is now destroyed after 5 hits, 3 hits, or 1 hit depending on the run Difficulty level.

• Restored the "Peek" mechanic: Hold Shift (or the Controller 'West' Button) to tilt the camera.

• New Table Select layout and images

• Raised the trigger colliders for the top mission on the Demo table to give an extra fraction of a second to react.

• Fixed a major bug where the spare ball count was not deducting on drain, 

• Fixed a bug where infinite nudging was possible when loading an existing run

• Fixed a bug where the right-hand mission could be continuously triggered while the lights were flashing.

• Ritual Levels now display correctly when loading an existing run

• Cheater Ball ritual FX color has been updated to a distinct purple, in line with the Ball Ritual prompt colour 

• Unlocked Glyphs and Blessings now show as greyed out instead of "???" on the progress panel. these can be highlighted to reveal their name and effect

• Fixed a bug where one-use Glyphs weren't correctly marking as "used."

• Fixed several missing Steam Achievement detection checks. This is retroactive and any unlocked achievements will fire when first loading into the game.

•  Fixed a bug with the percentage display on locked items in the Progress menu.
