We’re very excited to share some news with you… we’re entering Early Access later this month on March 30th! Thank you to everyone who participated in our playtests or played the demo, you’ve helped shape the game and get us to this milestone.

We’ll share more about what is coming with Animalkind’s upcoming release soon as well as what to look forward to during Early Access. We’re thrilled to talk more about the new gameplay and characters that are coming to Early Access soon!

Love the demo! A comprehensive list of feedback

Absolutely loved the demo! The artstyle is just so cute and the music is also spot on! Played for 6 hours straight yet not tired of it at all, and it's really starting to feel like a community with all the houses being built, even if there's only 2 residents haha. With that being said, there's quite a lot of improvements that I think can be made; - most jarring: the selling treat SFX for Sam is SOOO loud! It's like triple the volume of anything else and frankly, I'd change the sound as well; that doesn't...

Version 0.5.3 Update

We’re back with another update for the Animalkind demo! This patch should address some of the most common issues. Thank you to all of the players (and your friends) who reported bugs or issues. We appreciate you!

Here are the specific changes this update is bringing to Animalkind:

HUD quest tracker opens/closes properly, especially when coming back from closing a modal.
Storage box can be picked up and put back down without losing it’s contents (they attempt to be added to your inventory but will drop out in the little boxes if inventory is full).
Fishing works as a client connected to a host (i.e. the bug in multiplayer where fish would not appear in inventory).
Sam’s shop UI is updated to match the new crafting/shop UI.
The button indicators in the HUD should be a little crisper
A fix for the dialog issue when getting a recipe unlock in the quest flow; we are not sure we have caught 100% of cases though.
Ultra sensitive controller input fixes, most visible in the shared meals UI when switching panes from left side to right and vice versa.
Small loc fix with friendship titles being unlocalized.

Fragment Getting Lost

There are fragments getting lost after being dug up. Once completely glitched away, I threw on off the cliff and it disappeared. I also lost one to the ocean. It is fun but hard to complete the fragment task when they disappear.

Solid game, although a little buggy.

I’m sure the dev team knows about some issues, but because I had a fun time with some friends and I want to see this game do well, so I”m posting what we encountered. -new craft unlock getting stuck on screen requiring us to ALT+F4. -mech was in a tree and ascended up to the heavens until the new day started -ending the day caused an issue where we had to all restart -fish were only showing up in 1 person’s (i think the host’s) inventory -desync that caused me to rubber band back to a friend’s ...
