We had to pull the demo into the workshop for a quick tune-up, but it’s officially back on the streets.

• Throw Canceling: Canceling when throwing an object now cancels the pickup animation and throws immediately, instead of waiting for the pickup animation to finish.

• Jail Escapes: Uncovering a jail escape now prevents the player from uncovering another escape path until using the one that's already uncovered.

• Police Mechanics: When escaping jail, the cop is teleported away from the escape paths, preventing him from catching the player immediately after escaping.

• T-Shirts: Interacting with T-shirts when not wanted now triggers a prompt saying you don't need one yet.

• Water Fix: Falling in water was fixed and reworked to prevent any trespassers.

• Audio: Added a polished soundtrack.

• Save Menu UI: Save menu play-time is greyed out if no save was made in the slot.

• Controller Bug: Fixed a critical bug where spamming the A button and D-pad directions on a controller in save and load menus could accidentally delete saves.

• General: Smaller bug fixes.

Head back into St. Seclaire, make some cash, have fun, and remember: whenever officers are nearby, just act completely natural.

Solid news is dropping in two days, on September 17th.

Stay sharp!

There are still a few things we want to tighten up before we put the full version of Odd Town into your strange little hands, so we’ve decided to move the release to October.

Yeah. We know.

But we’d rather take a few extra weeks and do it right than rush the last bit just to squeeze it into September. And since patience has never really been our thing..

This one is based on the current full-game build, with an updated layout and a new shakedown mechanic.

Watch the new shakedowns in action!

There’s also a new street available to explore, along with a brand-new tool shop - because sooner or later, every respectable citizen needs access to equipment that can be used for completely legitimate purposes.

The town itself has also gotten a little richer, with more detail across the environment and a fresh batch of textures making their way into the streets.

Just buy a cigarette from one of the stands, light it up, enjoy a quiet moment, and really let it sink in.

You’ll remember it so well that you can always come back to it later.

Just don’t overdo it. The more you smoke, the more health you lose.

Peace of mind or actual health. Your call.

As for the shakedowns, if someone happens to see something they really shouldn’t have, a little persuasion might convince them not to call the police - and if you shake them down a bit harder, they might even be convinced that their money would be much safer in your pocket.

Will everyone hand over their savings without a fight?

No.

Should that stop you from trying?

Absolutely not.

Just remember that some people take being robbed surprisingly personally.
