30K?! Before Launch?! We're Absolutely Blown Away.

30K of you are really looking forward to starting that sword collection you’ve always wanted!

We are beyond thrilled, excited, and humbled by the support and enthusiasm shown for our Early Access launch next week on August 11th! 30K wishlists is an incredible milestone, and as a team of two, we are extremely proud of what you all will get to play in a few days.

Waiting for you at launch is a roguelike, action RPG filled with whimsy, intensity, and you guessed it, swords! Colt is happy to receive some backup as you begin the fight to save Armorial from the calamitous sword that fell from the sky and plunged deep into the land, and deal with the chaos and blades that came with it.

Next week for our EA launch, you can expect the following to be waiting for you:

Slash your way through 3 biomes, complete with their own environment, unique enemies, and boss encounters.
Discover and wield around 40 swords all with a unique Swordcery attack.
Master the 6 different Sword Classes that each sword belongs to. Each Sword Class has its own playstyle differentiated by a unique light combo and heavy attacks.
Utilize 12 Ethereal Steel Upgrades that alter the light and heavy attacks of Sword Classes.
Find over 100 different passive relics during a run to craft powerful builds.
Spend points in the Divine Obelisk Skill Tree on 40+ roguelite upgrade options that permanently upgrade your character.
Engage in some banter with the NPC characters and take in the lore.

Once again, words can not properly express how appreciative we are for the support throughout the years, and we are stoked to have you join the fight in Armorial on August 11th.

Oh and we also made crits WAAAAYYYY cooler!

Each element in Swordcery now has it's very own crit effect that can range from freezing enemies in cubes of ice, bleedin' them dry, blasting waves of piercing fire + more! There's now also more ways to support a crit type build so these effects can get pretty wild.

Couple Bugs

The demo looks good, but I ran into a couple bugs. When using a controller, any settings option you scroll over from the main screen changes automatically the way you move past it. If you click the joystick up to go past Graphics to Resolution, it raises the Graphics. If you click the joystick down to go past the Resolution to get to Graphics, it lowers the resolution. It doesn't happen if you enter the settings menu in-game. It only happens from if you enter the settings menu from the main screen. T...

Hello everyone!

The swording hour is almost upon us!

We've been hard at work getting Swordcery ready for Early Access launch on Steam and we're ready to unveil a date. Please check out the trailer!

Wow. That's coming up so soon we might have synchronized heart attacks! But we'll do our best launch with style on August 11th, 2026 and then cardiac arrest after if we're feelin' up to it.

As we move closer to the Early Access launch date, we'll also post another update with what is included in Swordcery's Early Access and how long we think the game will be in Early Access state before 1.0 launch. Shortly after early access launch, we will assess and put together a roadmap and share that as well.

The demo that's available on Steam will also receive a big update before Early Access launches so if you want to give the demo a swing the perfect time would be here in a week or 2 probably!

We know this project has been in development for a long time so we just want to thank you all again for your patience and support. It's been a hard path and all of your words of encouragement have really helped us keep going. Anyways! More news to come later.

misc swordcery don't suppose there's controller rebinding? i'm going to assume because it shows ps controller it would be vastly different from xbox/pc schemes where b is dodgy rather than a... just a bit too odd for me to get around.. (the rs isn't so much drifting as periodically lurching XD that doesn't help either..)...

Yes.

I discovered the game today with a twitter post so I tried the prologue And I loved everything about it. Combat is fun and fluid, upgrades for swords AND lots of different sword with rarities from what I experienced, very easily remappable keys, really, nothing that was frustrating which is quite rare these days. The last boss not being some mushroom or tree which were pretty easily predictible but a wolf was the last great surprise the prologue gave me. It's a small thing but that surprise was very wel...
