Absolutely brilliant. Stunning. One of the best games I’ve played in years, across all platforms.

Gorgeous visuals, infinite artistic cleverness in the tiniest details of the game world. A perfect flow between exploration, story, and satisfying battles. A fantasy world in a nutshell that respects the player — not too easy, not too hard, no Souls-like pain, just the right level of challenge without frustration.

And those locations… I genuinely don’t understand how such complex spaces were designed — so many layers of traversal, new discoveries at every step, shortcuts revealed at the perfect moments, pure admiration for the creativity.

It’s an absolutely perfect example of how modern games should look and feel. How narrative should flow. Just a small example: when you arrive at a quest marker, you don’t see a static NPC waiting with an icon above their head. The NPCs are alive within the game’s narrative — they don’t wait for you to click on them. You step into the middle of an ongoing conversation. The characters aren’t just tools for gameplay actions; they truly feel like part of a living world. And that level of attention to detail exists in every aspect. The way fallen leaves and stones react to the player and world events. The way your character moves and sounds in different equipment. The way friendly fire affects enemies. The way enemies make mistakes. Such talent...

The game needs polishing, especially in player landing animations and in the in-game FAQ/codex — there needs to be more clarity around how certain mechanics work, particularly equipment crafting. But I’m sure all the occasional imperfections of early access will evolve into the best possible solutions by release (hopefully with protective locks on important items=).

And at first sight, you might think there are too many systems, too many things to do, too much to craft and build, too many places to go. But very soon, you want to do everything. And suddenly you find yourself playing at five in the morning, not wanting to stop. Even the current version of the endgame is interesting and challenging. It pushes you to create a perfect build — and then to experiment with many different builds. And they’re all so cool, so distinct in how they feel and look.

I don’t know how to sit still and wait for the final release. I’m ready to buy two PS5 copies for family co-op, recommend it to everyone, and gift it to every friend.

if not us, then who, Cerim?

I haven't seen a game with such visual character in a while. Its fully controlled, delve deeply into, inter alia, animations and how environments move (and lot of "photorealitic" games cannot pull it off). I wish this would be understood as a "stylized game" term, not these mass produced mobile games.

I could talk a lot about this game. Like trully inspiring level design speaking through its verticality or interconnected locations reminding me of first Dark Souls. There's always something more to explore (especially for jumping puzzles fans). Or how you can nicely feel the weight of the character through its certain clumsiness in the movement.

Just for the record, I am not a fan of this type of crafting or player housing, since it usually artifically prolong playthrough. Here however, it was nicely balanced, felt rewarding and contributed to the whole feeling of cozy gaming in the city.

The last time I had this much fun in co-op was playing Divinity Original Sin 2 (while keeping in mind these are completely different experiences). Or such good fantasy RPG in general. You will recall a lot of good elements from the games you liked during your playthrough.

Also, I think this is like the fullest Early Access experience I've ever had. NRFTW have more content than some fully released games. Guys you're doing stellar job and please keep it up.
