dedicated server or P2P is a good question. I think due to the nature of the game dedicated server would be the best route. For sure the guys at Egosoft could pull it off.

Part of the problem comes from the Roguelike nature of Dead Cells
overs and takes an hour or two to play through the game again to get back there for another set of 5-6 attempts. Each attempt is made with the same set of equipment, the same powers, the same stats.
