The game is updating to 100%, then going back to. When I try and run the file as administrator it tells me that steam_api.dll is missing. This doesn't happen for any other games. I have tried

After having to restore my system I ran into the error: "steam_api.dll is missing" .

Here are the possible problems and the solutions I found on the internet. Note that I have Windows 7 so
solutions and it was the one for #3 which fixed my problem.

I press save and play and it gives me an error claiming steam_api.dll is missing from my computer but I'm looking at it right now. I already tried reinstalling.

I was going to do some mapping when I got the error saying that steam_api.dll is missing, the fix is if I reinstall the game Im using, but if I do so Ill loose alot of work and Im way too lazy to go
