Its been in alpha for 2 and a half years whats going on

What's the problem about this?
Have gamers lost faith in video games devs to the point where they find it abnormal for a game to remain in alpha for several years before being officially released?

Think of all the crappy video games that come out quickly and are full of bugs and stupid gameplay where the player doesn't even need to think in a 'tactical' game.

Of course this game will leave alpha at one point. For now, let them cook.

its been discused a lot alreaady, the devs said they know about this and they wont change it untill crossplay, cus the player base is too low... so yeah, bad dev team with a really good game that is really close to just die

More important question is, how can you release and ONLINE ONLY video game in 2025 and not have crossplay on by default. This is MK1 levels of pathetic.

That is in the description of an invasion, it being against the unwilling. Being invited makes it merely a duel.

Like lets compare it to a home invader, it isn't your choice if they break into your house. But, like a game invasion, it's up to you to deal with it.

That was also intended to balance coop, as many enemies can't comprehend multiple opponents.

It was also an advertised, & paid for feature from release.

Wanting a feature altered/removed that was advertised, only for some peoples egos getting hurt is far more strange. When there are literally hundreds of other action rpgs without invasions.

They buy games that have features they don't like, insult the people who bought the game for those features, beg and plead devs to remove those features, then talk big and mouth off to the audience who liked the game for what it was. Tourists ruining niche communities 101. Anyways I moved back and set up characters for DS1 DS2 DS3 and Elden Ring and have enjoyed the classic invasions. CI Games steals my money? I'll go play and enjoy games that respect my purchase.

I can help with both, but i would also like help with the real deal.

I'm a bit late here, but I was having the same issue when trying to play Geneforge 2 in Windows 11, and I found a solution! If you run the game in windowed mode using the DXWnd program, that solves mouse trail issue. It took a lot of trial and error to get the game to run correctly in there, but it works perfectly now. There are preset files for all 5 of the Geneforge games in DXWnd (i.e. Geneforge.dxw, Geneforge2.dxw, etc) which get you most of the way there. In addition to the settings provided by those files, I selected the following toggles in Modify: Hide desktop background, Desktop center, Free (under "window size & position," though I think Floating should be fine too), Hook dinput, Emulate mouse relative movement, and most importantly, I selected OpenGL as the renderer (the graphics were completely broken until I selected this). I have a brand new 2025 gaming laptop from ROG, and those are the settings that were finally successful for my system. It ends up being a pretty small window, but changing my screen resolution to 1024x768 in Settings did the trick. This might be a me problem, but for some reason, setting my screen to 800x600 causes some in-game text to be distorted, despite that being the resolution of the game itself. Anyway, I hope this is helpful for any other Geneforge fans who encounter this issue when trying to play the series today!

Mutiplayer is way easier. Just take My Summer car (Unity engine) that is not multiplayer and was made by just adding a second player. Kerbal Space Program 1 (Unity engine) too. Made into a multiplayer. Derail Valley (Unity engine) got the same treatment. Then there's remote play together. All he needs to do is add a second player/camera. Project Zomboid an other exemple.

He's probably talking about a list that would allow you to filter out servers better.

For an example, filter out any servers that aren't EU.

The server browser already has this but doesn't work 90% of the time.

It works fine for me

> Sets filter for EU servers only
> Joins a server with low ping with players in it
> The server is actually an NA server with fake ping and fake players

This level design is really ugly IMO because of the dust/air pollution all over... But it's actually accurate for Thailand. After some googling, I learned that Thailand has some of the worst air pollution of any country in the world, so CAPCOM is actually accurate in it's level design... But I prefer playing video games to escape from reality, not to get slapped in the face with it everytime I see this ugly level lol.
(Someone has got to do something about the pollution in Thailand FR)

You do know the fog/pollution on the stage lifts every round… right?

Just felt like venting. But hunting Bees feels horrid. I've been trying for what feels like 2 hours and could barely hunt down 2, since theres no easy space to hunt them like in the first game
