and at senior year u usually out perform 99% of the opponent already

Yeah, reloading saves is an option, but it's not required by any means. Some people will say that there are only a few 'good' paths, but for the most part, their meaning tends to lean toward "most min-maxed routes aiming for earliest victory possible".

^Which beyond maybe the hardest difficulties, isn't exactly necessary for most standard games AFAIK. You could stick to the 'middle-power' countries - like France, UK, Japan, etc - over the strongest ones, and still get a decent amount of progress done if you know what you're doing.
