I consider buying this game, but is this "problem" fixed/patched yet?
I think 4-5 minutes waiting is too long.

I noticed the same thing in my insanity run. Several times, I had to check the difficulty settings because I was sure it had defaulted to easy mode or something.
Then I learned better.

As for the game's lore, while there is plenty of religious iconography and references, you are not fighting on behalf of any deity. We actually discussed this early on when fleshing out the lore and I decided to deliberately distance the character from overtly religious motivations. I'm not going to spoil tooooo much story here (yes, there is a story!), but the Crusader specifically fights for other reasons.

I will say this is does not necessarily mean that there is no higher power/deity at all in this universe, just that it's not what motivates the Crusader.

One key aspect that could be viewed as antithetical to a biblical setting is this is a multiplanar setting. Hell has a physicality that ... intrudes on our space (again, limited info here because no spoilers). Although I would argue that nothing I've read in the bible directly negates this as a concept.

Why did I chose this as a setting? Fun mostly, it's definitely not trying to venerate any religion in the real world. . I love making abstract designs in my levels and Hell's unknowable nature leans into this perfectly. Why is this door so big? Because it's Hell.

only thing i hope is heaven if it exists in this setting isn't third party bad guys i really hate that trope since most of the time it just devolves into religion bad although there is times where it's done well. other then that the lore sounds interesting and the game itself is good so keep at it guys.
