Yep. I for example have a hard time playing older game that I never play as a kid. Graphics too dated, game mechanics too simple, etc. But if I played it as a kid, I can play it again now no problem.

Yeah thats what he does, just like the fox can chain slides they reset every kill. The trick for both is to get some distance and behind cover as they cant go around just straight lines. Then you get free shots off.

They arent the only ones either. Croc gets buffed and *almost* reset every time he picks up his axe, bear can double firebomb with his shield, Bunny can extend her Ult with every addition revive, ex.

They have made every actions need to be registered and approved on the server side like begin shooting after as soon as finished reload, if the packed (finished reload animation) hasn't reached server side so it will be discarded, your shooting dealt no damage but the ammo count decreased, use a stim as soon as you equip the stim but the server side hasn't received the packed, your stim use will be discarded.
at this point why this game even need an anticheat if they already implementing server side anticheat, right?
This update makes the game slow paced btw, they pandering with how player switching weapons and utilities but ignoring half century old bugs.

Have you put an fps cap on the game? Lowering the fps cap to 30 has helped fix a lot of "bugs" in the game for me, including crashes like you describe. Other people prefer to use 60 fps. This game has no fps cap of its own.

Make sure to save at least once every Sim day. Also save whenever you make a lot of changes to the game or move a lot of inventory around. Change wardrobe = save, redecorate house = save, build new house = save, travel to a foreign land = save before and after, etc.

Temporarily log out of the game entirely if you have been playing a lot of hours in a row. Delete five of the cache files every time you log out:

CASPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
scriptCache.package
SimCompositorCache.package
socialcache.package

This is safe to do. The game will create new ones when you play it again.

After the game ran that one time, it hasn't succeeded again on my main machine. It does work on my backup machine and on my laptop, so I still have no answers.

Oh, right: I also compressed the game directories from all 3 machines and compared hashes of the archives. You can already guess what the outcome was: every hash matched.

It's a low effort release. They don't want to do any more work than absolutely necessary.
