Yeah this patch has totally rooted my game and I can't get past the load screen. Any ideas?

No, that's what I mean, even in games that I know have PS buttons, steam still assigns it X-Box buttons

Then most likely your gamepad uses X-Input as its control function which is the same Xbox gamepads use, so it defaults to those.
You can use a free program like "DS4Windows" which emulates a Playstation controller and Steam will then recognizes your gamepad as a Playstation one, which should trigger the button layout in games that support it.

Hello, I launch the game, the title appears then a gray screen with the book logo in the bottom right corner that keeps spinning. Impossible to access the game. It remains stuck on this screen.
