The Paradox of tolerance says that a society should reserve the right to use violence, to be intolerant, towards those who would be intolerant against it.

What we see happening now, is one side claims, without evidence, that the other side is intolerant, and then attempts to use that as en excuse to use violence.

Lying about a group being intolerant should be treated as being intolerant in itself.

The Paradox of Tolerance presumes that we are all arguing from a liberal-democratic perspective. That includes everyone from moderate conservatives to most democratic socialists, but not those who have no belief in pluralism to begin with (to them, there is no paradox, because tolerance is not something that's valued in the first place).

Let's take a clear-cut example. If someone declares themselves fascist, should they be excluded from society?

Depends if we are a tolerant society that rejects bigotry we'd accept the fascist.

Bigotry is rejecting PEOPLE with different beliefs, often the left use the word bigotry to mean anyone who disagrees with their beliefs. But one can be against homosexuality or gay marriage and still not be a bigot.
