Thanks for this response have been playing for 1.5 years now so it's interesting to hear this justification - makes sense, I just prefer slower paced/control games.

Yea I do get this. I wouldn't call what they said a justification... people are just gonna play what they're into and I'd rather them do that than all play control. But yes definitely there's just... a lot of them and there's too much unit destruction without enough stall stuff to balance it out. I like setting up my board and having to suppress my opponent's gameplan while setting up my midgame. I like playing to disrupt a combo or slow someone down while I get my units on the field. Britain lets me do that. And I like adapting my strategy to whatever people are running. As of now it's "Japanese blitz aircraft and good card draw/heals/pins to outlast my opponent". There's a LOT of unit destruction. And trying to buff my units is just... death. They'll dun get routed. So, I focus on having stuff I can build up should I get some leeway, while also having that stuff be aircraft that can just immediately do damage to the enemy HQ before my opponent can do anything about it. I've got my Cromwells so that pinning units means suppressing them, and my deck does best against other midrange decks. It's been doing a LOT better ever since I added Fortifications to it to. Been considering a lot of decks I could build actually... been experimenting with Germany and been having fun with that.

Only guaranteed losses my deck has are Alpine/Legions style ramp. I can... *manage* against Japanese rushdown. If they get bad or meh draw and I have some breathing room cuz of that. My deck can take advantage of breathing room. It's the whole point. It just can't disrupt my opponent too much early game and MAKE that breathing room. Which is why I've been experimenting with Happy Time a bit... Alpine and Legions tend to be more midgamey so they don't just run out of cards as they're ramping and placing their units. Whereas with Jaggro I can just rely on them running out of cards and taking that opening (even then there's a chance I'll lose, bad matchup my deck's not built for). So, naturally I figure discard'll really hurt Alpine/Legion ramp. Discard does really great against my deck and I figure it'll give it an edge against other midrange, not to mention all the German cards that can help it in it's Japanese matchup. Only issue is that I lose a lot of my free Blitz Aircraft pressure, so it's an adjustment to my usual strategy. Fun time. Means I can get some use out of my cheap British retreat orders to help out my German tanks... also means I'll be using Guard less (probably) since I'll be playing the Frontline more. My other deck just... doesn't. I'm also considering those German countermeasures that destroy troops in the frontline. But those are a ways off for me (expensive as hell, I'll get them after some grinding) and for now I just wanna get some German tanks so I can have some punch. Which I'll grind for before any of the counterorders. Also gonna make a more anti-Japan variant with a lotta "Screw you your early game units are freaking dead" cards from Germany.
