been struggling with this ever since i bought this game in 2024.

black screen for 5 seconds, then crashes back into EA.

ive tried EVERYTHING. ran as an administrator, deleted ea and installed it again, tried to bring origin back, closed startup apps on task manager, even tried switching back to windows 7 so compatibility could work, and effectively, nothing worked.

the device im using meets all the requirements, and im not missing directx or any of those programs.

this issue only happens with hot pursuit remastered, and i really want to play the game !!!

does anyone know an alternate solution to this?? i'd appreciate it millions

im using a desktop pc

I'm unable to play the game with any mods enabled in campaign mode. Every time there's a battle, the game freezes, meaning it won't load the battles in campaign mode.

one other thing most players like play fast games not slow

Reach for the Stars would be amazing.. I found it on abandonedware site.. an it rekindled my child hood glee... I wish we could see re-releases, an maybe reimagined/updated versions of all of these classics.. They had all the bones, just lacked the technology. What the creators from back then, could do with todays tech would be stunning.. Instead we get big company SLOP.. /sigh

I guess I'll answer since two of you are waiting patiently. In my humble opinion, BDO is currently designed to be new player friendly.

Where in the past you could be punished infinite times with bad luck trying to upgrade your gear, there are currently hard caps and something of a pity system.

Veterans who are already broken by past failures don't as much benefit from this because we've lost the desire to "grind" for attempts to upgrade gear. The old system already wore us out, and for us it's just not worth doing.

However, new players haven't been ground down already. So new players get to spend dozens or hundreds of hours in increasing difficulty zones with a steady progress.

In addition, there are several ways to upgrade starter gear to high end gear with minimal pain to new players.

You may see me complaining in posts from time to time, but my complaints come from a different point of view and not from that of a new or returning player.

It is my sincere and confident opinion that BDO has a LOT of Player Versus Monster fun to offer to new or returning players.

In addition, over the last few weeks, there have been PVM changes which likewise favor new and returning players by making it so that you can actually enjoy fighting in zones intended for your current gear score and are not limited to fighting in zones which are too easy for you.

Again, this doesn't help long-time veterans much. But it very much benefits people like you.

Ya i heard about their "free mythic mount" and other stuff but again: im asking about pve content. Not "fighting in zones intended for your current gear". I dont want to running circles and killing mobs. So i guess you kinda missed the point.

I just want to know is there other impactfull/core/progressing (name it whatever you like) pve content EXCEPT mob grinding zones? Something like a dragonfall event in guild vars 2 for example

The fog vials were way too strong out of the box and needed an immediate nerf. I think it would've been better if they were never added to begin with. You can't just add an item that obscures vision and hides everything after 9 years of the game when for all that time you were only able to do some of those things through the use of perks like hiding scratch marks and auras.
