The demo itself was getting long in the tooth and had some embarrassing bugs in it. Sad to see it go, but just as well. I heard a new update with some major revamps are on the way, and that would have really left the demo in the dust.

The Red Cross thing is moreso explicitly so the symbol is ALWAYS recognised as humanitarian aid and there being absolutely no possibility for misunderstanding.
