Games are supposed to be fun. It's more fun to undertake a challenge, that you know is difficult, when you have the strength close enough that it's a toss up, rather than one that you know you won't be able to complete until you get the proper starting cards. I cannot overstate how ♥♥♥♥ it feels to just constantly have more and more burdens NECESSARILY placed on you as you get outscaled by the enemy, such that the early game bosses actually take me out more often than late game bosses do.

I think you might need to switch up your strategies. I've been playing at rank 10 with all the clans in all sorts of combinations for weeks now and do fine, I never lose to the early rounds unless I got an extremely bad Stygian set, otherwise I always make it to round 7 or 8, and win as often as not. The basic train stewards should get you through the first two stages without much issue, and at that point you'll have had a couple rounds to pick your power ups and get better cards.

Card fusion in the old game was really overpowered and broken, if you were totally dependent on that to win before, that might be why you're struggling now.

The old clans are power creeped a bit (but they're adressing that in the next patch) but every army is viable and can win as long as you play your cards right.

Failing that, try the dominion pyre which removes all the weak starter cards and gives you a variety of cards, and a much smaller deck out the gate.

Eva buffs are pathetic also her orbs are bugged af, stuck on everything, her q that's supposed to heal orbs on lvl4 doesn't heal them and it shrinks their size. Shrike literally 2 shots everyone from 1km away, wukong dunking everyone.... in a hotfix patch week ago you said to prepare for a big patch in a week and now you post that "uhmm yea we had to work on a hotfix patch so this patch won't be that big" lmao

i still dont get how to lose your ship to fire... not even with this update, especially as fire now does superlow dmg to the ship itself (fire isnt heat dmg, thats another thing), if your ship got heated up so much its "melting", you could have a trillion overclocked fire ex and it wouldnt save you...

if you integrate some long ass corridors for the crew to move around and dont spam doors like skiddles, fire still cant spread through walls, so you can make "some" choke points where you spam extinquishers. you dont put them in troves all over the place.

build it like a submarine, if a section is lost, its lost. by spamming "attack surface" for the fire everywhere, door spam, open wide areas that are all connected, you invite fire death. and dont spam the fireex stuff between your "to protect module" and the enemies fire, so your crew doesnt have to run "through" it to get the fire ex.

i made ion dreads of which their ion chambers are completely isolated and dont "infect" each other, so the ship can be disected and still fly. even if the reactors chain its safe. so dont build to narrow and open, just look at some integrated ships, they all spread out stuff a bit (intentionally or not).
