I was going through the RimWorld discussions just to check in, and I came across this post which explained the situation. From what I can gather, some mod developer teams from Hearts of Iron IV were having an argument and one of them filed a DMCA claim.

The group then realized they can file DMCA claims without consequence and subsequently spread to other workshops to file fraudulent DMCA claims on other workshop mods as well.

And now it has hit the GMod workshop, with mods like Prop Hunt, gm_bigcity, and countless others being hit with a DMCA. Thankfully, they got resolved.

Apparently the group targets mods they seem to dislike; one of which happens to be the HugsLib mod for RimWorld. This definitely seems to be a coordinated attack.

Valve may have thwarted off the DMCA spam, but there's a pretty good chance they'll start back up once that ban expires.

make a bunch of spears and attach knives/bread knives/butter knives etc... to make them more powerful. They have a very long range.

Spears dont last long but you can make tons of them anyways, they are really cheap. And you can repair them

Other than that just shout at hordes to attract them to your location and position yourself in an open area so you can escape easily if anything goes wrong. Simply try to make them line up for you and just keep swinging your weapon for a few hours while nimbling towards backwards.

And dont run, zombies are already slower than you. You will do less damage overall if you run out of stamina. Dont try to fight large hordes of the undead until you have proper gear and resources tho

If you let them game just be involved. Know what they're playing, who they're playing with. Talk about what's going in their gaming with them. Every kid is different, no matter what path you try to set them on.

I find the younger kids now more responsible online than the other generations overall.

My experience so far of the new generation has been that of rampant casual racism, sexism and generally dehumanising behaviour.

All with the excuse of; It's just a game.

Oh..., well hopefully that's not the norm. I'm not seeing it in the spaces that my kid games in. He will put someone on blast for racism on comms.

I see more casual racism from the older gens tbh (and I don't mean kids). As a gen x myself I've found myself not making any x friends because they are so overwhelmingly racist.

I guess we can just hope for the best, do your part and all that.

But I cannot deny that metal_hamster & ^1Romanov77 are both not wrong.

I've tried several times with different decks, but it really feels like no matter which cards I choose I keep losing to the first boss's bears. Since I'm only using one candle I just lose the run. There was one point where I thought I could kill a column and just stuff the others with squirrels until my main beast dealt enough damage, but it wouldn't even let me attack when I ran out of squirrels because the Starvation thing(that I just learned about) was placed in the empty space across my beast. Does anyone have any advice on how you tackled the bears? Would be very much appreciated.
