That should be a clear indication of what is wrong: if someone can recognize that what they've been told is dissonant with how they actually feel, but then they ultimately side with that dissonant message rather than their own mind.

Obviously, the 'dosing people with LSD' part is absent, but the key takeaways about how to influence minds and overwrite pre-existing conditioning is now not only effectively public, but it's the standard modus operandi.

Lots of people talk about how propagandized politics are - on every possible side - and this is absolutely correct. But I don't think most have a grasp on just how powerful and invasive the propaganda has become; it's a far cry from the 40s and 50s' posters in metro stations.

Unsurprisingly, it comes down to divide and conquer. People are hyper-polarized against each other because that keeps them from looking up. The powers behind the proverbial curtain know that the only way to keep the curtain closed is to perpetuate that cycle. And, sadly, most people will never, ever question it, and don't even want to know there is a curtain.

But because such information is widespread and publicly available, I find it baffling that there are still people playing the game. Once more and more people know how much of it is propaganda and intentional divisiveness, why aren't we seeing a decline of political divisiveness? Are we a shrinking minority -- the people who actually see through the manipulation -- relative to the drones that social medias indoctrinate on a daily basis? I'd like to think not, but reality seems to dictate that must be case. If not, I sincerely worry about how much online traffic is synthetic. That seems at least like a semi-reasonable explanation for why it appears as if politics continues to become more and more divisive despite the information about stuff like ECHELON, PRISM, global surveillance as a whole, and the gov's proven involvement in literal mind-control experiments

Great idea, but becareful cause Devs rather defend cheaters more than their own legit playerbase sadly.......

I remember in the last games I played (a while ago, like a year I think), the ivy barely put anything in gun and was outdpsing my Haze with lots of gun lol.

I find it easier in general, but you can get complacent and end up with some nastiness happening.

Just an example. If you have a high wealth, but have been running from everything, an engine overheat could leave you stuck fighting something you just aren't powerful enough to take out. It's a limited danger, but something to consider.

I would have liked to have new raid types added though. Something similar to breachers where they specifically target your Gravship, or possibly thieves that are only in it for whatever they can steal and avoid combat unless it's forced. Maybe even some form of bombers who come in, plant explosives/IEDs on mineral veins or your buildings and set them off.

Self limitations have always been the difficulty "slider" in Rimworld though. Even playing off-meta, the game is not that difficult once you understand the mechanics. Purposefully limiting yourself for the challenge, RP, or whatever, is the only true difficulty scaling in the game. RNG can hit you hard at times, but it is easily overcome if you are reasonably prepared.

So mute them and if you've played WoR and turned the sound off then why were you even there? The officer tells you when to fire and if you do it when everyone else has stopped then you're that one person giving away the whole regiments position and we hate it when people do that. Also you won't know when to volley so you're messing up everyone else's shot by getting smoke in their face. Did you also triple time (sprint) everywhere? Which means you've messed up your stamina. You also won't learn how to play the game properly. Why even play these types of games if you're going to turn vc off.

Aye, it's been said before, but you really don't have to worry about Havoc games quite yet. Get comfortable in Auric (and Shocktroop Gauntlets! Bwa ha ha) and they you'll be ready for Havoc. :)

Also, Havoc 30 is no joke. O_O

Anything past Havoc 25 starts getting really tricky, especially if you're playing him random folks online.

Having someone on mic helps a lot, it can keep the team more organized. :)
