Spy is an excellent support and reconnaissance class with a surprising amount of adaptability and utility when coordinating with an experienced team that communicates.

It is difficult to have a team that's cohesive and experienced though, especially in casual servers with teammates that have chronic brainrot (like me haha)

So people underestimate the class while also falling into a meta-slop vacuum where they insist that spy is useless because they cannot play them competently.

I feel you homie. In my ~4000 hours, the only spies that give me trouble tend to be excellent at using stock/cloak and dagger coupled with a stock revolver; or ambassador if they are a good shot.

I do not think Kunai and Deadringer 'n all that slop is overpowered. Just extremely obnoxious. But I know to hate the game not the player - so I won't get hostile towards someone for using tools in the game I do not personally enjoy.

But for real whether you're ragebaiting or serious or whatever in this dumpsterfire of a forum - i do feel the vibe that spy is a lot better than most people give the class credit for. Certainly not a powerhouse, or the king of the castle. But as a *Support* role, they do have some teeth. The class could use some love and attention but all in all it really ain't like horrible or nothin'.

Are you being impatient and not letting all pipes fill up before starting coal gens up?

Screenshots of your layouts would help.

Also you don't need buffers for coal gens - if anything it would complicate things - or delay the problem ultimately.
