Magnetic is usually the best and non disruptive with a lot of modding. Toxin used to be good back when viral slash was the meta but now toxin prog is bad as you would have to use a toxin mod anyway if you wanted to go something like Viral heat. You can still go toxin for viral slash aoe weapons but for anything else forcing Viral Slash is pretty redundant post Jade Shadows. It also just comes down to the desired build you have in mind for the weapon.

For melees usually electricity/magnetic, you probably know why. Magnetic is good for combo based as you get a large sample size of hits but for something like the Coda Pathocyst where you want as much weighting towards electricity or just to activate the arcane, electric is the best option.

Progenitor counts towards the base damage of the weapon also so it will be always lower than any modded bonuses, this is also very helpful as with a 60% progenitor the status spread is 60% weapon 40% progenitor, making modding for something like heat/elec result in a higher weighting when using the same progenitor as what you are modding for. This is also the reason why magnetic is good, you want a little bit for the status but not too much to be harmful for weighting purposes.

For example the Coda Pathocyst already has a forced viral proc on the detonation, by going electric and modding some more electric you get a very low weighting towards viral, this is not possible on the standard Pathocyst.

If you want a weapon that goes for viral heat then you're better off getting heat on the weapon instead of toxin or cold because you want as much heat as you can to apply more heat procs.

I admit she's right about sacrificing the council since they refused to let Shepard and the crew to Illos.

You are entitled to your opinion and I never said I disagreed with you. I won't take away someone's right to an opinion. That's not good conversation etiquette.

I don't sacrifice the council. Even though I don't like them very much, they represent trillions of people in the galaxy. and you get your mission done in the end anyway with them grounding you before Ilos.

I'm sorry my man, I was never trying to cause problems with you, just stating my opinions, wasn't trying to cause any trouble. I took Liara's permission because I don't wanna sacrifice innocent people who has promising futures, again just IMO.
