How can you make your own when he takes them down?

The patch team may have had those patches taken down for copyright infringements. Create your own patches "cold room" and document it properly.

It would be a good idea for anyone not liking the unofficial patches to read the patch notes. Most changes are related to bugs, and if not directly related to bugs they may have been related to other bugs. Some changes may be disputable, although not so in my opinion. In the patch notes you will be able to read the reason behind the patches.

The ebony ores and veins in Redbelly Mine were replaced for iron ore, because ebony in that mine was not consistent with dialogues, the mine ore radiant quest and books/notes. The ebony ores and veins were replaced, at first to Northwind mine, and after critics to a small mine near Shor's Stone.

Forelhost is another example where was a lot of complaint about: the ghosts not dropping physical ancient nordic armor. Why, when you can get it another way? And, they are ghosts for heaven's sake. Also, drop the patch and you are left with the other 19 bugs that are solved by the patch. The patch team should also remove the gold dropped by the ghosts at Ranveigh's Fast.

Stop following those trolls and so called "influencers" and make up your own mind, based on facts, not something someone is yelling about, not even in a 1.5 hours video where (almost) every claim is taken out of context.

No matter what, I will keep using the unofficial patches, as these will solve 100s and 100s of bugs.

Modding is inherently a violation of a copyright. But copyrights are only enforceable if the copyright owner enforces it (Bethesda can ban mods at any time if they desired).

Because modding is inherently a copyright violation, the modder has no legal rights to their mod. If they created custom textures and other third party assets and whatnot, then they technically have rights to those though, as long as they're making them in a third party program (anything made from the construction set base tools is still owned by Bethesda).

So modders don't have any actual legal rights to their mods because they are copyright infringements. However, it's always been a rule of respect to credit modders for using their mods in your own mod.

But a strictly bug fixing mod that doesn't add third party custom assets can legally be used by anyone else in their own mod. They have no legal leg to stand on to stop anyone from using their mod as a basis. The modder can ask the team for permission out of respect, but they don't have to.

And frankly it's ridiculous and childish to stop people from modifying your bug fixing mod, as your bug fixing mod only exists because the copyright holder allows you to make it.
