Not sure how any of it is inefficient or needed more maintenance. The only things they've really added or changed since the system released was stuff that people were asking for from the beginning, like mage getting more elements, and splitting ritualist to have a more dedicated necro/dark caster. Same with the addition of a 'paladin' class. All of that was being talked about the day the hero system debuted.

I was talking about the update that added hero classes in the first place to replace tome skills like the author of this discussion mentioned. I wonder if that means that the developers have to keep changing the heroes' skill tree every other update. Seems like at lot of extra work on their part. And on the players who have to keep relearning their builds. Now I haven't looked at the new skill trees much yet but did they incorporate any kind of "precognition" status buff to the new classes? Cause I'm wondering if we're going to see a hero rework to incorporate every new status effect they invent or shortly thereafter. Again I"M NOT SAYING IT"S GOOD OR BAD. It just seems inefficient to have to keep readjusting them.

i don't think any of the previous classes have precognition, but the battlesaint does. Not that there's anything wrong with new classes, but there's not really any need to incorporate every new mechanic into every existing class anyways.

You (Midas) just said the point without apparently realizing that was the point. It has taken until this patch to get those mentioned elements added in, post initial rework.

You say that like you genuinely don't realize how much more involved the new system is over the old one, and how much more build variety and depth it has. Nothing else you're saying here is worth reading if you're going to pretend that's not the case and nothing has been gained over the old system.
