Apparently the goty version is very hard to mod for some reason from what I've read, which is unfortunate, but at the same time we are getting a proper remaster for the modern age ig

I wonder what engine they'll be using. Probably an upgraded PopCap Framework (based on Zuma's Revenge & Bejeweled 3) that supports higher resolutions than 480p. Or it might be Frostbite, or Unity, who knows.

Errors concerning TGA.DDS are false positives - it's an alternate search (that format works) if the TGA file does not exist in the mod setup. If you play the main game it checks straight in the packs (where the file is) and thus you do not see those TGA.DDS lines.
What bothers me is the complete lack of text in the final [error] line. that points to a corrupt data\text file, it's in the 'shared' file - the {GERR_GENERIC} entry.

And if you have an issue in a mod then verifying the game files does absolutely nothing, unless the default campaign crashes, too.

Current event makes it easy to farm powerplay points (sell CMM composites one at a time at Minerva.... tedious, but effective).

The trade dividend is always good, but the exploration data payout is unique and VERY SIGNIFICANT if you ever do any long-range exploration, as proper exploration techniques can earn billions, which is doubled into twos of billions with max powerplay rank.
