hi guys Im AAA, 28. i started playing game when i was 4 my first game was stronghold. i've been playing mostly strategic games through my life. when i went to college i realized something. those who played strategic games in their life have a somewhat better strategic thinking abilities. it's just you know what to do. so now i'm trying to prove it as a gift to my younger gamer self and the gaming community ( i still play games i recently finished one in victoria 3 as Persia by reaching 1.3 b in gdp and 22 standard of living in 1927. i could go for 2 b before 1938 but that was enough :) ) i really appreciate your help if you could help me gather the data by filling the survey and shairng your steam id and set the palying hours public for a few day so i can extract the numbers and do the regressions on them.
this is the survey link. https://utaedu.questionpro.com/t/Ab95GZ6P3I
if you have any questions ask me here and if you have any suggetions or ideas i'm all ears. thank you all.

Of course. Playing HOI 4 makes me smarter, bolder, stronger and sexier too
I know it's so. Unfortunately i cannot prove it. Nevermind.

Rather: I took the test and i'm bit of a puzzled.
It seems way too focused toward self perception and what one thinks of himself

Why don't you add questions where straight strategy decisions are prospected and attach to the answers some kind of "strategic scoring" or call-it-what-you-want?
This one below might be an example.

One decision scores + 5 pts. Two decisions score score - 3 and - 5 respectively, the remaining two may vary between 2 and 4
It's a true historical case btw.
It really happened according this pattern and I set scores according historical outcome, one might choose otherwise but not that much, anyway:

Q : You're a military commander during a war. You've received intelligence indicating an imminent enemy attack on a key position. However, you don't have enough troops to defend all strategic areas. What decision do you make?

A. You concentrate all your troops on the key position, leaving other areas vulnerable.

B. You divide your troops evenly among all areas, hoping to slow down the enemy everywhere.

C. You reinforce the key position, but leave a token force in other areas to confuse the enemy.

D. You withdraw all your troops to avoid losses and prepare a counteroffensive.

E. You ignore the information, believing it to be a potential trap.
well the paper is about the perception that each and every one of us have of ourselves. you see playing strategy game might make our strategic thinking abilities better or not but that is not the whole picture. it might improve our self efficacy in some areas that it will lead us to BECOME entrepreneurs. your question is actually good and if you are interested i suggest you to read some corporate strategy related books. you'd be surprised to see how much they resemble fundamentally to the grand strategies that we set in games.
