It's very disheartening to see so many people on this game throw out the "no ones forcing you to buy it" line so casually. No one is forcing me to buy it, but at the same time, I fully appreciate and value your right to add the very unconstructive "no ones forcing you to buy it" (and any variations) line. In the same way, I would think we allow people to voice their concerns/complaints freely, after all, we too have the freedom to either engage with or ignore their threads. Rather than throwing "no one's forcing you to read his thread nor reply to it" your way. What are you hoping to achieve by posting those replies as opposed to reasoning with/against their view?

With regards to OP, I too am disappointed in what I have seen/read about the game. I have been playing the OG with a (free) widescreen mod and I'm not sure a (possibly AI) retexture is worth it. Someone has said that the pathing is improved, but I heard that they've allowed vehicles to pass through each other which I think is silly visually and immersion breaking. I another post pointing out that some balance breaking bugs weren't fixed, not even sure if balancing was done. It seems (subjective and I could be wrong) like a superficial enhancement and if so, as you all have said multiple times, I will indeed hold off on the purchase as I won't be getting the improvements I wanted to see. While I am happy there are those who ARE getting what they want out of this $20-30 purchase, OP and I are also allowed to be unhappy that this game does not serve our own interests.

AOE2 definitive had new animations, graphics, overhauled multiplayer netcode, co-op mode, (ongoing) balance patches, new content on arrival with more (paid) content constantly released for I think $20 from memory

Anyway, can we stop trying to gatekeep peoples opinions, yes we are all aware that if we don't like it, we don't have to buy it but people are also allowed to voice their opinions

Hi there. Firstly, loving your game. So much so I brought the full version after playing the demo. My only really complaint is that in the game, once you have completed the three days, the pop up window is still saying the demo data can be transferred over. After a bit of research I saw that you’d replied to someone’s post saying that you weren’t able to carry over the save data. I totally understand why, but one of the reasons I got the full version was because of the data carrying over. I wouldn’t even mind as much if you were able to skip the cut scenes and ‘tutorial’ stages, but I’m assuming like the demo you can’t? I’m sure this is just an oversight, but if you could please update the details to reflect that you can’t carry over data, that would be great. Also, perhaps putting a note somewhere on the demo page (if this is possible?), you might find lazy people like me would rather buy the full game instead of playing the beginning twice! Lol. I almost brought the full version because I really liked the look of it. Luckily Steam have the fallback of being able to refund games if you don’t get in with them and play less than two hours. I’m sure you don’t want people doing that, but I think your game is so good you’ll find people get hooked right away. I’ve only ever refunded one game in my entire time on Steam. Just a thought. :)

Ue5 needs a good PC , if your PC isn't handling it in multiple games then it's your potato PC . I have NEVER had a problem with ue5 , over 12 games but my PC was built especially for gaming , and also especially NOT AMD , I gave up on AMD PC's a decade and a half ago , because they are not the best at anything anymore , just cheap nasty rubbish .

You can't possibly be serious. AMD has surpassed Intel in every way for gaming now.

And the engine thing is just BS, or you love DLSS and FSR to the bone. Without it these UE5 games run like crap.

Not the person you responded to, but I have a strong opinion on this. I don't care if it's 2015, 2025, or 2050, I've had too many bad experience with AMD based systems over the years. And that's going back all the way to my first PC back in the 90's. I won't touch them with a barge pole

No doubt there are people running these setups perfectly fine, but the well's been poisoned, as far as I'm concerned. It's NVidia/Intel all the way for me, even if you have to pay more for the same performance.

spam jumping of any sort really , but bunny hop is just used now to categorise any overpowered or dumb mechanic involving jumping

Which is incorrect. Bunny Jumping is very specific. And very few games supports it.
