I had this issue and what fixed it for me was uninstalling the game, deleting the Space Marine 2 folder in the steamapp files and then reinstalling.

this has become the most tiring game of all time hacker and i think that you are the ones who sell hacking i hated playing with it cs2

What settings should I use for a single-player game, so that I can play comfortably and have no resource issues?

Friendly reminder that they've barely fixed anything in 3 months.

They have been working to fix things, and the audio issue was fixed for some users in an update.
They can't just press a button and have everything magically fixed. And even though we're all using the same hardware, we're not all experiencing the same problems, which means Valve isn't either.
Of all the issues reported in the thread, the only thing I've experienced is the volume being reset to 100% when plugging/unplugging headphones.

Seems to crap out and not register when fluids low eating dos nothing

Ah yes, Battlefield 2042. The game where the real battle isn’t on the futuristic warzone… it’s in your BIOS.

Before you can even think about shooting pixel people, EA demands you embark on an epic side quest:

Back up your entire drive.

Reformat your disk to the mystical “GPT” format.

Enable Secure Boot, TPM, and probably toss in a blood sacrifice to the motherboard gods.

Because clearly, the most immersive way to play an $80 FPS is to risk nuking your Windows install and praying you didn’t just brick your PC while flipping random BIOS switches like you’re on a hacker movie set.

Anti-cheat? More like anti-fun. Nothing screams “great design” like telling loyal PC players, “Hey, could you, uh… completely restructure your operating system just to join our servers? That’d be great.”

Meanwhile, actual cheaters are probably already running Battlefield 2042 on a quantum potato bypassing all of this.

In conclusion:
10/10 realism for accurately simulating post-apocalyptic tech support calls.
0/10 for thinking that “modifying your boot priorities” should be a prerequisite for respawning.

Would recommend… if you enjoy BIOS menus more than gameplay.
