I woke up on the based side of the bed as usual today, thank you.
Describing yourself as "based" when you're attempting to argue with other people online just makes you look like an insecure teenager. That's not an insult, that's advice. Do with it what you will, probably nothing considering your confrontational nature, but who knows.

That aside, you once again seem to be struggling with the concept of localization. What you're actually describing in your reply isn't a distaste of localization at all, only a distaste towards bad localization. What you aren't understanding is that localization is what prevents a work from being degraded to begin with. Familiarity is part of the point, but it's not the whole picture. It goes both ways. It's about preserving the original spirit of what was in the script in a way that direct 1 to 1 translations often cannot. Yes, better localization efforts will often be ones that don't have to make huge sweeping changes, but there are still going to need to be changes made so that scenes can be understood and enjoyed across different cultures. Without localization efforts much of what was originally intended is going to be lost or fly right over peoples heads not only because they won't understand the cultural references but because there's not a clean way to translate it into their language, and that doesn't do the original art any favors.

Basically, in short, good localization is about faithfully translating the intention behind the original script. It's about understanding the context and adapting that faithfully. If the entire point of a scene is that it's making some kind of profound point about Udon or what it's like to eat or it's directly shown on screen or etc. then it's probably best to keep that intact and let people connect the dots themselves. If it's something brought up more casually and isn't a big focus of the scene, changing it to something like Spaghetti or something as a close enough cultural equivalence really isn't a big deal and helps to keep the spirit of what was intended so that the scene is conveyed naturally across cultures. Not all mentions of something like Udon are contextually the same and there are different contexts in which keeping it intact are a higher priority as opposed to others. Good localizers understand when it's important to keep details intact and when it's best to swap out for something people will understand, ideally something that's as close to the same thing as possible so that the intention behind the original is kept as 1-1 as possible. They also understand when a direct translation is failing to convey what was trying to be said in the original Japanese and how to rewrite it in a way that preserves that original intention.

The best localization possible is when it barely even feels like a localization effort at all and comes across as just a really good translation. However, that's not always possible to achieve and so even the best localization teams will occasionally have to make compromises to ensure that the intention behind what was being said is being conveyed across language and cultural barriers. Their job is about making sure the original work isn't degraded. A bad job of doing this can involve rewrites that are too extensive, or injecting too much personal wish fulfillment or personal politics or etc. as opposed to remaining faithful to the intention behind the original script. Their job is one of preservation and conveyance, not personal expression.
