And there will come a moment where something somewhere you like will be taken away, we don't get to dictate to you what should be irrelevant to you and you don't get to dictate to us either.
Attitude like yours is why companies get away with enshitification or outright changing the terms of a deal after purchase.
If it's supposedly alright for companies to not provide justification for their actions, why are we the customers the ones who have to constantly justify our actions?

I bet no one would like it if after buying a shirt the salesman leaned over to you and ripped off a button, then said: "It's just one button, it's irrelevant! But hey here's a blue button in exchange for that red button I ripped off, it's just as good, trust me!"
And I bet you'd like it even less if some other random people told you things like: "Could you please stop making drama about this completely irrelevant cosmetic item? If you give the store a bad review you're just being a baby . The salesman shouldn't be obligated to tell you if they'll try ripping things away from you after purchase. The salesman doesn't owe you an explanation."

I seriously feel like if the devs had gave an explanation stating something like they didn't feel that the hat was appropriate due to [xyz] or why they felt this new hat better suited the game, a good chunk of people would've accepted that and dropped the topic

data.win - файл, в котором хранится весь контент игры (спрайты, уровни, код, НО НЕ МУЗЫКА, для этого есть другая вещь). файл никак не связан с твоими сохранениями, он лишь редактирует их при особых случаях игры.

если ты хочешь чтобы твой скин был в других модах, то это не получится, поскольку данные о кастомных скинах хранятся именно в data.win мода. в сейв файле же хранится информация об его открытии, и о том, что ты его щас носишь.
