As a panther player, I generally only die to welkins when they catch me off guard and put me in their box while I was busy fighting someone else. So it may be best to stay near whichever teammates are the tastiest panther targets to intercept there, when the panther may have less stamina/shield refills left or may be distracted.

Also I don't know what the timing looks like on your end and how difficult it is to learn, but you can clank-counter a panther by meleeing exactly when they come in at you with a lance drill, and since you are the heavier mech your recoil is shorter so you can get a hit in before they recover..


But also: Even if you can't win the fight, if the panther is busy dueling you, they aren't drilling your teammates to death or doing objectives.

Well I certainly wasn't expecting this development.

The Devs want *All* ages to be stiff and moist when they play MR. The Chinese didnt get to 1 Billion people by accident! 💦

There definitely is stuff one can criticize about Rimworld in general or this DLC in particular. But in my opinion, that is all minor stuff: I am disappointed that there is next to no overlap with the Royalty DLC, for example. Where is this "Royal Fleet in orbit" they keep talking about?

But all in all, I really enjoy this DLC! With the grav ship it adds a massive new "playmode", so to speak and the landmarks bring an interesting new focus to the game. Overhauling the world map was something that has been asked by the community for years over years now.
The only "pillar" of this DLC that fell a bit short, in my opinion, is the animals. Yes, I do love that there are more animals in the game and that some of them have extra trainabilities plus the sentience catalys. But I would have loved a bit more in this part. Animal gear, animal bionics, a shoulder-mounted gatling laser for my elephants, anything.

Still, all in all a very good DLC that slots right into my Top 3 along with Biotech and Ideology.
