What you say make sense, if the game was released 15-20 years ago. The problem is the more recent games have become much larger in size, with bigger, denser and more complex map areas.

Without the map, you would wander around for ever before finding the different spots. Also, you only see the marker if you open up the map.

I completely understand your position: the environments of The Great Circle are immense, and locating essential items without some kind of guidance system would be impractical. However, I'm sure a middle ground can be achieved. Some games still manage to provide the player with just enough information to navigate the world themselves -- perhaps an option that allows you to expand the radius of the quest location circles (making them less precise) and use the map without the quest marker automatically appearing on-screen.

Hey, I beat skeleton prime master mode ftw. The possessed armors are really the biggest issue with this fight. Especially if you use an asphalt bridge, as then you have to split your vision into two places, the way you are going, and the way you are attacking.

I was able to slay him by making an enclosed box. Make sure the platforms are sparse, as with wings and a grapple hook, too many platforms are unnecessary and will only reduce your speed, and increase the space at which other mobs such as possessed armors can spawn. And if you have any hunter potions, they are really a huge game changer. Whenever you spot a mob, just tap S to duck under the platform, and all the mobs will drop off the platform, which is when you use your wings to get back on the platform, essentially clearing your arena by baiting the mobs to fall, while losing virtually no velocity doing so.

Circle around skeletron like the other guy said, Consider changing shield of Cthulhu with magiluminescence, though optional, is considered a better item, as grapple hook substitutes for soc dashes making it inefficient to use if you are not melee, and will help a ton as you lack lightning boots. Obsidian shield is a useless item, when you get hit, you are basically dead anyway, swap it for what I mentioned earlier, or for a charm of myths, as you said, you dodge all the attacks anyway. If you really struggle and find it useful, then continue using it for this fight, but swap it out asap afterwards, as a ranger, you shouldn't be getting hit much.

Depending how much time you have, consider getting lightning / frostspark boots to replace either shield, so you benefit from the frog leg in the amphibian boots, and the anklet and aglet in the lightning boots. With enough speed, you can avoid the spinning head. Lastly, make swiftness potions as they trivialise this fight, Good luck.

IIRC my PC ran wukong benchmark at 5fps lol
had to reduce/disable the usual stuff

How to I force manifestations? Is the village in the Scarlet Coast? Does the "Force 7 Manifestations per Village and Castle" requirement for Gnosis V mean that I need to force 7 manifestations in the Village and another 7 in the Castle? Where do I find the coordinates for Velmorne?

-the Village is Velmorne, its the new Map
-Manifestations are the red Crystals after you beat 1 Enemy Spawn, so you need to clear all
Castle and Velmorne Spawns one time
-Velmorne Coordinates are in the Scarlet Coast, there is a Wooden hut in the Northeast of the Map with a pinned Letter, follow the the red Wisp Light
