Yeah, we were new at one point, and while I can't speak for literally everyone, what I can do is point out that we all got kicked a lot when we first started because we were all useless new players holding our teams back when we first started playing. Y'know what I in particular did? I actually went and learned how to play so I'd stop getting kicked and what do you know? Now I can play Versus games from start to finish without getting kicked like you.

You use the tools provided by the community to learn in a solo environment where you aren't actively ruining the match for anywhere between 3 to 7 other people. If that's too hard for you, maybe you ought to go play something else. TF2 is right there after all, and contrary to the name, you can be complete garbage at it and still win since the team sizes are so massive that having one trash player won't tip the scales as hard as it does in L4D.

Why do developers do this nonsense of "Come to Discord to access the play test here one Steam"? They could easily copy and paste the information here on Steam in their announcement. Advertising in the sense of keeping information hidden from players to grow your Discord channel is a bad look. Since I will not go to Discord, I have no choice but to wait I suppose.

the worms are nearly impossible to avoid taking damage from and they have been on every floor for like the past 10 floors, I am hemorraging health because they are heat seeking missiles with no counterplay. remove them.

I didn't design the match making for DBD. I'm also not in charge of balancing the game. All I can do is voice my concerns about it all.

Nobody is going to cater to you and change matchmaking because you are bad at the game. Several people in this thread have tried to give you advice on what to do differently and improve, yet you keep complaining about "balance". How exactly do you want devs to balance the matchmaking? You have 4500 hours on the game, you will play against people with the same amount of hours most of the time. I have 300 hours and I play against survivors who have 500-1500 hours. Do I complain? No, because in matches that are difficult I can learn and improve on what to do better. If I were to play against 300 hour survivors who cannot loop and mindgame properly I would not improve my killer gameplay at all.

Well the first thing they can do is balance killer design. It makes no sense to have a roster of diverse characters and only a handful of them are viable to play. Starting there would be a good idea in my opinion. The other thing they can do is improve the variables used to calculate where you belong in the match making. If kills and escapes are the main thing factored into the equation then thats a problem. Chase duration before a hit or down should be considered if it already isn't.

Last night I watched a streamer who hadn't played the game in about a year say multiple times during the stream he didn't understand why he kept having survivors matched with him that are clearly way better at the game than he is. You'd be surprised at how many people don't like the match making in this game who are just not outspoken about it. I also felt this way when I played survivor all those years. I had many matches where I kept asking myself why am I going against this killer who clearly I have no chance to win against? Its an issue on both sides, but I think killer mains are disproportionately affected by it way more.

Can we please get a scaling fix so my cursor isn't stuck in an invisible box in the upper left of the screen when I change to 1920x1080. This is one of the only games that seems to do this. I play on a 4k TV and Windows 11 Scaling is at 300% automatically.

I would rather play at 4k but I can't read a bloody thing at that res since there are not in-game UI scaling options.

When I set my desktop res to 1920x1080 and the game at 1080 then yeah it works, but I would rather not have to change my desktop res every time I wanted to play TQ.

I've tried "fixes" that I found online but nothing works. Well the fixes work, but only if using kbm. For some reason the games UI scale switches back when I move to the controller, so it only works for kbm which is no good for me since I play with a controller.

Anywho hope a fix can come soon.

+1 for the controller UI scaling fix for high resolutions, this would be a huge improvement in QOL for controller players!
