Griefing will just increase tenfold, simple.

Force players to waste 30 minutes of their time in miserable impossible to win matches, they'll just grief a million times harder so you are also just as miserable.

might wanna keep that option enabled then. it's basically the same as rolling up to the yard entrance, ask the foreman "Hey, where'd you want this thing?" and he points you where to go. ain't nothing immersion-breaking about it really.

what i am reading is, the mass protest against safeboot resistance is that people that custom build their pc's find the cheapest hardware that is probably coming up on a decade old technology architecture that doesn't support secure boot and they cannot upgrade their OS because the OS's security features require it. then, they pivot to another OS that doesn't require it but is less developed and then rage when games developed by AAA studios tell them what the requirements are, so they faux boycott them. that's fine. no, it won't hurt their sales because they have players like me who will often update their software, OS, hardware on a regular basis to be relevant to the entire technological scene instead of just gaming. these people continue to troll really good games for the sake of trying to make it playable for the minority of players who don't know what real gaming commitments require
