Most games release new maps every 3-4 months, not once every 2-3 years...

Cool. Games and companies aren't all the same, though. Not all problems can arise for all companies or some might not be as smoothly able to function as others. Some games push content and releases quickly and the content is glitchy, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, buggy, unappealing.

Just chill. Or don't and begone. Either way, it won't impact the game.

And good developers don't make excuses for not releasing content for 2 years, and instead release content. Not sure why anyone would defend these people who lied about an office fire to farm sympathy and not work on their game, while making lofty promises they haven't even started on 2 years later.

Honestly, I found it really helpful to watch other people play on youtube--just find anyone you like best. I enjoyed Northernlion for a more laid back approach and Roffle for high level gameplay. You might not be able to do the same things they do at your current level, but watching the choices they make and hearing the reasoning can go super far in terms of learning the game and some of the strategies that might not be as intuitive for newer players.

When did steam get installed on consoles?

Elden Ring was kind of the same for months after release. Even the completion rates of the first major boss, Morgott, were extremely low. It has improved a lot, by now, but even now only about half the players ~50%, have gotten halfway through Elden Ring.

Perhaps it will improve over time. Or maybe not.

Personally, I'm enjoying the game when I have time and fully exploring so a bit over halfway, roughly Mt Zenwhu or whatever.

I havent tried yet but as fast as this game is, i would say no
