The trolling here looks different than on the Warframe forums because here, the best way to get you guys mad is just to compare the player numbers between the two.

On the other forum, rare TFD posts are met with actual somewhat smart people who know the meme so they just spam “Clem”. There is no conflict between the two. The only conflict come from the ones trapped in their own echo chambers, believing the most unhinged takes about Warframe and “woke”, “ugly” “old” who spiral into deep hatred for no reason as they get genuinely upset.

That’s why the trolls keep doing it. And the actual smart people who get baited into having Warframe discussions here are ganged on, called trolls and drones because they try to correct misinformation from the angry people.

I laugh at both sides. But I only give this place my toiled time so it’s all good.

Well I know they're Warframe fans because I can check both the profile and post history and the majority are people who play the game. It's really not hard to get a baseline on that.

It's easy to separate the generic trolls from the actual Warframe or D2 fans looking to pick a fight. The ones who are just trolls looking to farm Jester's make *a* post and then move on. If you check their post history they bounce from forum to forum doing it. The ones who are Warframe fans are far more dedicated, show up frequently enough you recognize the screen name, and respond to people.

I mean, I dunno why anyone would be mad about the player numbers unless they're not too bright. TFD was always going to be a niche looter shooter, anyone who thinks it was a real competitor to either Warframe or Destiny 2 is deluding themselves. I mean, Warframe is a 12 year old game from a top level studio. TFD is made by a sub studio of Nexon that doesn't seem to have an extensive production history.

And the actual smart people can't be that bright if they keep getting caught in an easily recognizable cycle of baiting.

It is rough if you come here to bridge the gap but the player base here is an embittered group. They get dumped on constantly by D2 and Warframe players, social justice activists proclaiming this game is the devil, rightwing activists proclaiming this game is the devil, calling the fanbase nothing but gooners, saying that they only play the game because they're waiting for the, and I quote, "Beastiality Premium Pack".

All because they've committed the great sin of enjoying this game.

So they're easily triggered and defensive but not without reason. It's just the nature of the situation.

Personally, I like both games but TFD I have enjoyed more than Warframe. It's just personal taste.

I don't know dude, I would not consider someone, whose first post on this thread was clearly a troll post, as coming here to bridge the gap, maybe people like you that try to have peaceful conversations but in his case all his replies to you look like clear trolling to me. Even in this last post in which you are replying to him he sounds so full of himself and he even says that he is coming here to troll. I guess you just try to see the good in people.

I also don't know why anyone would be mad about the player numbers because the only metric they should worry about is the global top sellers list and like half of the games in the top 100 in that list have similar numbers to TFD. That's why I usually mention that list when someone brings up the daily numbers topic.

Also, regarding your niche game statement, I think you are wrong, at the very least in order to consider a game popular it should have a daily concurrent users count in the 500k range or in case of single player games then have an all time peak of concurrent players in the millions range minimum.

In my case you don't like the firs arbritary number I said to consider a game popular. The least I'm willing to compromise is to 1% of the total concurrent users. For example, steam at this moment has around 25M concurrent users online so I think at minimum a game should be able to grab the attention of 1% of that number in order to be considered popular so around 250K. Most games are just niche games since people have all kind of different tastes in general.

Both wf and tfd are not popular games they are niche games with loyal fanbases because they are looter shoters and those are not popular games. Popular games have daily concurrent player numbers in the millions, like league of legends, counter strike 2, fortnite, minecraft, roblox (not sure why on this case, can someone please explain this to me, I really mean it, I know is some kind of game platform but still, I don't get why is so popular), etc.

Wf after 12 years since release has never reached popular status, the most it got in steam after all that time was around 190k so it has never left the niche status. Looking at its chart history you can see that it has a loyal fanbase that returns on new content releases with the occasional increases of new curious players that they don't seem able to retain.

I expect some of the wf drones to rage by these statements but you cannot consider your game as a popular game when after 12 years since release it doesn't even have 10% of the daily concurrent players count from the real popular games out there.

Last, I find it funny how the "actual somewhat smart" wf fanbois that roam these forums almost always get more aggresive and defensive at the simple mention of "wokeframe", its almost like a meme word at this point, if you want to ragebait them, get their attention or get some easy jester awards you just have to say wokeframe anywhere in your posts and it works like a charm.

There is no loss here, the game is still online, the developers are still working, and people are still playing. :prospectorthumb:

Oh no, a lot of upset people. I feel the opposite of everyone posting here. I think this game is pretty decent and the DLCs offer a lot of varied optional content. It's not like Paradox games like HOI4 and EU4 and Stellaris that require the player to buy up most of the dozens of expensive DLCs to get a working game. This one lets us buy the war settings we like.

Sounds like the devs are having financial difficulty. I think instead of being angry, some sympathy is better. Like if people can, buy their boardgames and DLCs for this game and what not to help them out. Try to give them a boost instead of complain.

I already have enough of an investment in this game. It's not my job to help the developers out.

I agree that there is a lot of good content in the DLCs. It's absolutely ridiculous, however, that they are still listing a large number of DLCs as "coming soon" when they clearly aren't.

The problem, as the poster above me pointed out, is that there has been no communication from them in years. There's no reason to expect that they will ever complete any of the listed DLCs or that they will add anything else to this game.
