coming from dungeondraft, and aiming for ttrpg batttle maps, i often find myself needing to build interiors, in non-rectangular patterns.

dungeondraft has an outlinetool, similar in use to the pattern tool here, tto quickly build up the shape of a building, and it autocompletes with walls, floor, light-barriers.

If there were such a thing, or even a way to just snap different rectangle houses together, without having tto fiddle with wall segments, that would be immensely helpful!

You are definitely not alone with this wish. Currently you can only start with a rectangular room and then move individual points (or new points) to create round shapes. The room tool still has a lot of room for improvement. This includes, for example, the automatic linking of rooms.

An actual review I just saw:

"Great positive vibes... I played very little because I usually wait for the rough edges to be hammered, but I can say that the first impression is really good. Graphically I haven't seen much better than this. Movements are a little sluggish, but nothing unbearable."

He had 0.2 hours put into the new action adventure game Echoes of the End. If I told someone to buy a game based off of 20 minutes and "good vibes" I would be embarrassed.

And when you look at a lot of Steam reviews, you will see this pattern. Reviews as short as one word, with well under an hour played. Either for the sake of being first, or because they want to bandwagon and help fight a "side," or they're mad at the developer for XYZ.

At that point it's no longer about the game's quality, and doesn't help to give players or developers anything valuable because the system itself allows (and even encourages at times) low effort from people.

I really think there should be some new requirements added. It wouldn't eliminate these problems but I do think it would help combat it. Or at the very least make those people put in more effort so that you maybe learn something worthwhile from their review.

Doesn't have to be these, but just some ideas.

- Minimum playtime raised from 10 minutes to 90. That could even be enough time for them to change their mind on positive/negative
- Minimum character amount so you don't get one word reviews like "trash" and "good"
- No VAC bans on account, or display the VAC ban on the review
- Minimum games purchased for account, or minimum age of account (ex. must own 10 games or have account for six months)

I know many would argue this isn't fair, but I think the current review system is extremely insufficient. And the more controversial the game is, the more this becomes apparent in the reviews. I'm not for censorship of opinions, this wouldn't censor positive or negative opinions. But Steam reviews are a powerful tool and I think it is often underutilized or manipulated in an unhelpful way.

Curious what people think. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is probably an unpopular view for a number of reasons and won't happen, but I wanted to throw it out there and discuss it anyways.

it feels more like a fast paced cod then it does a battlefield, specally when maps seem so small, and when the only people left will be loyal fans if your not selling it to us your just selling a downfall of a game again

hi guys i have a problem with the game, i will attach a screenshot below, i played the game on a pirated version before the licensed one, i had the same problem, according to the characteristics everything is fine, maybe someone knows how to solve this, it is not very pleasant to see this
