Add a road construction system

Road tools mean roads of a defined, set, width, everyone gets stuck with the same thing. I don't want roads being defined by some tool because it removes creativity. In the current system I can make roads as wide or narrow as I like, all I need to do is set a fence each side of where I want the road and road gets created. How far apart I put those fences helps define how wide or narrow it is. In the centre of town I have wider roads, towards the edges of town I have narrow little streets.

Learn to use fences properly and you won't need any road tool. This system gives players so much more freedom.

You disagree with a road tool because of the theory it will be restricted in how wide the roads will be.
If you design a road system by using fences, isn't that the same as with a dedicated road tool? Only difference is the ease of use and a little bit more precision depending on the capabilities of the (still theoretical) road tool. I don't see why there won't be an option to widen the road of place multiple roads alongside eachother to create wider roads. The same creativity can be used to build whatever you like still.
No creativity will be lost if you don't have to use some kind of workaround with fences and the like since that will still be an option should a road tool come to the game.
No is completely different, I can decide how far apart I put the fences, so I decide how wide it is, I decide where it curves and where it's straight by adjusting the fence.
