Let alone TAA ruins the picture quality, while BF6 ships with latest DLSS, improving beyond Native quality. In terms of artstyle it just looks randomly thrown together.
Same with Hitmarkers and their sounds, BF6 looks and listens crisp and clean, giving that extra satisfaction when killing one and adding a cherry on top when it was a headshot. For some weird reason Bf2042 has had that right when they announced the game and shown BFBC2 Portal stuff. In final game that was changed and made worse

I have to disagree here. Gameplay-wise, BF6 is strong. The atmosphere, gunplay, pacing and overall feeling are at a pretty high level. But visually? That’s where it really falls short. Compared to BF2042, it feels like a solid step backwards. Character models look low quality, and some object textures are downright awful.

As for hit registration. That’s nothing new. This issue has been in the franchise since Battlefield 4 and it’s tied to netcode and hit detection. It’s been almost 12 years and I really expected DICE to finally address and improve it. Sadly, the current state of Battlefield 6 shows the problem is still very much there.

And what am I supposed to compare it to? The BF6 beta has a ton of weapon balance issues, hitmarkers, poor visuals, and graphical glitches. On top of that, the final phase of the beta is one giant cheating spectacle.

I know Battlefield 2042 launched in a disastrous technical state, breaking the military character of the series and stripping away many signature elements. Honestly, after my first encounter with the beta, I had zero interest in playing it. But after more three years, the difference is massive and the game is received completely differently. The devs have introduced huge mechanical changes, weapon handling was reworked, movement animations improved, map balance adjusted, optimization significantly boosted, and even the goofy specialist designs were toned down.

Right now, Battlefield 2042 feels much more serious and cohesive than it did at launch. The gameplay has slowed down a bit, the gunplay feels absolutely brilliant, and the overall experience is incredibly addictive. In my opinion, Battlefield 2042 is the best-looking, most complete, and most spectacular entry in the series.

It's all right there on my profile that everyone can see. Like I said to the other dude: point out the streaks. point out where "engagement optimization" played any part in my matches.

My losses come from 4 possible things:

a.) I'm playing like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that day or just being stubborn about switching because I'm working on a Lord

b.) a lack of communication (this is usually the biggest one. something like 95% of my Comp losses there was no team communication, and almost all of my Comp wins we were communicating and making callouts and coordinating)

c.) My teammates were ass and/or threw the match

d.) The enemy team was just better (not terribly hard since I'm stuck playing on a controller)


There's no engagement involved at all; unless you count the engagement between players of us communicating to get wins.


And it's extra delicious you claim it's in QP because I have almost 4k matches and only ~290 of them are in Comp.

Did you even read the second paragraph of the thing you posted as proof of how I'm wrong and that nobody uses it as a substitute term for a matchmaking system prioritizing engagement? Ill post it for you:

What do you think "Discussion of the EOMM concept" means? Keyword: Concept. Because according to you, there is no concept. According to you, EOMM has only ever been discussed as 1 thing: EA's patent. According to you, nobody has EVER loosely referred to EOMM as a system of matchmaking prioritizing engagement. So why would the search you did to prove me wrong, suggest that EOMM was discussed as a "concept", when you yourself say nobody has ever thought of EOMM as a concept before? EOMM is just the patent, right? Not a concept?

How were players connecting the EOMM patent to their in-game experiences if, as you say, EOMM is just the patent? Were people relating their losses to what its like to be words in a patent? It doesn't make any sense, unless of course, you admit that when people talk about EOMM, most of the time, they are referring to similar systems to what existed in that patent, and not the patent itself, as you like to pretend you think they are doing.

Yea, I assumed people were calling all engagement based matchmakers EOMM's immediately after learning it exists, but I guess it took a few years. If the victory of my misspeak on when they started doing so means that much to you, you can have it. It doesn't change the point I was making at all, which is that for years players have been referring to all engagement based matchmakers as "EOMM". It doesn't change the fact that even your own google search shows that people have been using the term EOMM to refer to the concept of a matchmaker that prioritizes engagement over fairness for 5 years now, and that your argument that nobody ever has before is extremely disingenuous.
