Both people for and against Secure Boot don't understand what it does, and seemingly refuse to just GOOGLE it.

Secure Boot stops unverified programs from running during Bootload and OS startup. Which CAN in that way stop people from loading up things like Cheat Engines. So in a way it 'Can' prevent some level of cheating. Limiting the tools people can use and making it easier for the game to detect.

But when you're in a game, you're not starting up the OS. So secure boot is useless.

What do you need to do before you launch the game? You turn on your PC and the os loads during the boot up process. Secure boot prevents unverified things from loading during this process.

Thanks for the explanation. If only we had a server browser with admins who banned cheaters, we wouldn't have this problem.

Yeah, I don't have the solution as well, maybe an hourly refreshing encryption key between server and client, or something, but I'm just saying the concern about accessing the kernel-level is legit (on top of how many people will mess with their uefi/bios, even if it's simple for most, a missclick can happen))

Ethernet cable doesn't guarantee good connection tho. Also if your fps do not drop, it doesn't forcibly reduce graphics next match.

I guarantee you the drop might be about 3 fps and thats on high so you can't really feel it? And even when im on low stable 60 it forces it to low 40% resolution I have i5-13420 and rtx 3050.
