I can install other games, tried reinstalling all of steam itself, reinstalled the game and my firewall is not blocking it at all so I gather it is something

just brought civilization 5 and keep getting error saying the steam servers are to busy to handle my request. I am on a new laptop with windows 8. How can I fix this so I can play. Im new to steam

Has anyone found a fix for the error code 53 problem yet? The steam troubleshooting thread on it is absolutely useless as it actually has nothing to do with the issue that apprently spawns the bug

But when I try to "Verify integrity of game cache" it just stops at 100%, like it has freezed or something saying "1 file failed to validate

I cannot launch this game now. I use to be able to. The MP and expansion packs load fine, but trying to launch the main game gives me an "error code 53".

I have reinstalled the game on different
hard drives, I have reinstalled steam, I have tried every setting in the config. I keep getting error code 53. So annoying as the MP and expansions work fine!

Any suggestions?

I can't play the game for some reason. Keeps saying the steam server is too busy to finalize my instal. Yet my other games are installing and playing just fine.

Tried reinstalling and searching for a solution but it comes up with this error:
"prince of persia the two thrones failed to start (error code 53)"

When I try to play COD Black Ops I got this error "Steam servers are currently busy, we cant handle your request, error code 53".
I tried clearing cache, changing download server for few others

As it sais in the title. Looked all over the internet. All that is stated is to turn of your anti virus etc and I have done so but no changes at all. I do not have Mcafee installed so it wont be a problem there. reinstalled it also and no changes there.
