user buys hacks, runs script that does all the things mentioned, they don't have to do anything hard at all, this isn't somebody flashing their bios, this is somebody running a batch file.

I downloaded the beta, clicked start, the splash screen loads and the game immediately crashes following the splash screen without making it into the game. Any suggestions on a workaround? (other than don't pre order)

You need to obtain the achievements in the game first, btw. Simply owning the game is not enough.

I copied the prefs.prop file from the Documents folder to the Pack\default folder.
