I believe it is permanent, the developers made it clear that warbonds are here to stay to eliminate FOMO, plus killzone didn't get a warbond so we can't really base anything on that

I haven't done PvP much since ghouls ruined it more than it already was, but do have an immortal vs non cheater build that can kill any non cheesy ghoul or non cheater I come across (unless of course they are also running my build then its a stalemate)\


PvP is 110 damage per hit hard capped - This is the hit itself

You CAN hit VERY quickly for 110 damage (ex. autoaxe)

You CAN reflect 100% of the damage they do

Multihit things (dragon pre ghouls as an example) could hit for 5x 110 + 5x 110 for a whooping 1100 from a single shot - which at the time would one hit kill any NON cheater

Dots are their own hit, so you can do a 110 damage + a dot


The current meta of PvP is

Ghouls >>>> all with their absurdly OP health pool, free instant max healing, and ability to take anyone with MAX anti ghoul armour and still do 110 to them with the autoaxe

Holy fire is a noob weapon, even a little fire resistance can make it extremely ineffective in PvP


In her example

110 from the holy fire... irrespective of buffs applied at a moderately ok rate of fire

? from the holy fire dot which should effectively be nothing (but since dots have always, and I do mean ALWAYS (well with an exception)... been a bad damage source in PvP I can't say that they are also 110 capped --- The legacy peppershaker + strangler armour would do 800+ damage of poison to a player pretty quickly (but it was from dozens of individual very low damage 10 or 2 - dot effects all stacked up and being applied at the same time)




She shouldn't have been able to touch your glow, frankly even an utter noob of a ghoul with some toxic goo is unkillable in legitimate pvp

What she PROBABLY did is cheat / stack / whatever her weapon so that its DOT was so either

a.) ticking damage absurdly fast like 10000 hits of its 110 per go
b.) Dots don't have a cap and she cheated her dot to do 100,000,000 damage

Fencing for easier perfect parry to take advantage of Intimidating Aura, which means that you're not just doing AoE stagger and but doing AoE damage (scaling with difficulty level) even when you don't follow up with a gunstrike.

You *can* get more damage out of your parry damage further with AoE shock damage (Defensive Advantage) + bonus damage vs. shocked enemies ( Shock and Awe) but my personal inclination would be to replace that with Armor Reinforcement + Armor of Contempt instead (and the Masterful Defense prestige perk once that's available; with that and Armor of Contempt, ranged enemies can be made to work in your favor).
