Konami swapping Fox Engine for UE5 on MGS Delta screams “we don’t know our own tech.” Fox Engine already proved itself with immaculate animation, input latency, and stellar performance in MGSV custom-built for stealth sandbox gameplay. Meanwhile, Delta’s UE5 build is struggling with frame pacing, stutter, and uneven optimisation. That’s not a remake problem, that’s a pipeline problem.

Contrast that with Kojima: left Konami, partnered with Guerrilla, and shipped Death Stranding 1 and 2 on Decima, a focused, well-understood engine they co-developed and pushed to insane visual fidelity while maintaining stability. That’s what real engine stewardship looks like. If Kojima can collaborate and evolve Decima to deliver massive open environments with fast streaming and tight performance, Konami could’ve invested in reviving Fox (or at least chosen tech that fits stealth simulation instead of chasing an industry-default engine).

Delta’s current state makes it painfully clear who the true legend of game development is, and it’s not the company abandoning its proven tech for a tool they don’t seem prepared to optimise.

So that means that pulling and failing is not that risky, right? Your pulls are essentially not wasted because if you dont get there on time, youll be there for the next one, that must be why i got phrolova so early after i failed the 50/50 for zani and ragequit back in april
