Lessening player numbers is not concerning at all

the game is single player with multiplayer, or maybe local multiplayer. either of those ways works. Since we can play to our heart's content with it.

Don't know why people say that numbers down on a game that isn't live service is worrying... Its the same with all single player games or ones that have single player as their main driver. It isn't the multiplayer side that sells these games.

besides has there been a lot of refunds? I don't think so. Most players are 10+ hours in

Yes and no.
If the content itself is purely fictional with no real people involved other than said pervy man who coded and animated it all, there is no problem. Let him cook.

But if someone looks at the finished product and takes it to heart as some sort of encouragement for what to do in reality, THAT is a problem. Which, believe it or not, the vast majority of people are not going to do. And even in the event that someone does, the problem was not in the content they consumed - the problem was inside that single individuals mind. Because they were already messed up before they even touched that media.

Take the entirety of Helldivers universe as an example.
Consider how the people are treated, what message they spread, how they act and talk. Do you honestly think everyone who plays Helldivers in any capacity fully agrees with how things are done in that universe? That they believe this is how reality should be? That there is nothing wrong with the universe of Helldivers?

When you sit down and think about it, the entire human race in Helldivers are indoctrinated slaves who refuse to think for themselves, acting as little more than a hivemind led by the elite leaders making all major choices behind the scenes, with near complete disregard for any individual citizen, Helldiver or not. The word "freedom" has lost all meaning, and the entire population is so brainwashed that they don't even know it, because any and all signs of someone deviating from that norm are isolated and removed upon detection via immediate execution. Why do you think Helldivers are instantly executed for wandering outside their designated mission area?

I can see that universe, I can understand how it works and how it is written.
And I can fully ignore all of it, because none of that is real. None of that SHOULD be real. All that sounds like hell, and I would rather die than live in a world like that.

And yet, I still play Helldivers 2. Why?
I like how this game handles shooting bugs and bots. I like how the gunplay works.

It's really as simple as that.

If someone is unable to keep their ♥♥♥♥ together and chooses to commit actual crimes of any kind, no amount of media censoring is gonna prevent them from doing what they were going to do regardless.

Do you think that I am a psychotic mass murderer for enjoying shooter games and movies with lots guns and killing?
