You could try deleting the old saves and settings
C:\Users\[yourpcname]\Saved Games\id Software\DOOM 3 BFG

If that doesn't work, I would try uninstalling everything, deleting the saves and settings, and reinstalling only BFG.

2. Build layers of stem walls around the MIX.R(don't use palisade, too expensive and the normal weed stem walls do fine.) This should be much easier now they(kinda) fixed the dirt clump issue. How many layers will depend on your skill level.

3. If you are not using a turret(completely doable, I have done it twice without) Your build needs to be on point.

In Europe, employees get this thing called "Vacation time", and at Paradox, the entire studio goes on a Summer Break so that the employees don't get burned out. They were nice enough to fix up the 4.0 patch to a playable state before taking off, and it will be a few well-earned weeks until they get back to churning out content at a much higher rate and higher quality than many other studios.
